[/font][/i], one of the worlds leading cities. the capital of that tiny country we know as england is certainly more than the sum of its parts. you can't walk down a street in any part of the city without meeting an eccentric mix of people, what with the eclectic mix of cultures and classes it boasts. whether you prefer to follow the fashion pack for shows in leicester square and cocktails in soho, or you're more interested in tracking down the artists and the layabouts for drinks in the pub and some decent culture, you'll not have to look far. the varied nature of the city is no doubt what gives it its edge, but of course there's a catch. where differences exist clashes are sure to follow, and this is as true in london as it is anywhere, if not more so. the gap is widening between the rich and poor, and it seems the city's past is coming into conflict with its present. just ask anyone who's tried to walk on its many cobblestones in stilettos.------LONDON TOWN
